Dr Hal Stewart
DDS, FACD
Dr. Hal Stewart is the Founder and CEO of The Stewart Center for Minimally Invasive Dental Medicine and The Stewart Center for Optimal Health. He has a long-standing commitment to the highest standards in optimal wellness dentistry. His devotion to his profession is seen in his passion for treating his patients and teaching other dentists worldwide. Dr. Stewart’s commitment to his profession lead to his induction into the American College of Dentists in 2018 and to gaining his diplomate status with the American Sleep and Breathing Academy in 2024.

A biologic and systems-focused dentist, he believes that the goal of treatment should be to optimize the airway and any oral contributions to total health and wellness. He believes that a healthy airway, and a healthy mouth with stable joints, harmonious occlusion, and a healthy functioning tongue are imperative to one’s overall health.

Dr. Stewart graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1989 and has been in private practice ever since. He studied at the Pankey Institute, The Dawson Academy, The Las Vegas Institute, as well as the OBI Foundation for Bioesthetic Dentistry. Dr. Stewart has also studied with Dr. Ben Miraglia (Airway Health Solutions); Dr. Felix Liao (Holistic Mouth Solutions); and Dr David Singh, inventor of the DNA appliance. He has also studied with James Nestor.
Dr Stewart is an Affiliate with the Breathe Institute in Los Angeles, CA and he has taught on several of their Breathe Courses and has been involved with TBI’s ever-evolving research.


Leslie Bennett
MS, CCC-SLP
Leslie Bennett is a Speech-language Pathologist and Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist who helps kids, teens, and adults breathe, sleep, eat, and talk better. She’s on a mission to not settle for the status quo in the speech therapy field and advocate for the best possible treatments for her patients. An enthusiastic teacher, Leslie is passionate about translating complex topics into easily actionable information for her clients, colleagues, mentees, and adjacent providers. A never-ending student, Leslie received her introductory orofacial myofunctional therapy training with the International Association of Orofacial Myology and completed a 9-month Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy intensive with The Breathe Institute in Los Angeles.
After 15 years in the field, Leslie is dedicated to creating a legacy of high-caliber, patient-focused SLPs through mentorship and educational opportunities through her group practice, Spark Therapy Collective. When not using her oversized mouth model “Chompy” to teach her patients and mentees about anatomy and function, Leslie enjoys spoiling her cat, hiking, cooking, traveling, and the occasional indulgence in her favorite reality TV show.

Judith Macias-Harris
M.S. CCC-SLP/BSLP/CKTI
Judith (Judee) Macias-Harris is a speech-language pathologist. Her forte is in the areas of dysphagia/feeding/orofacial dysfunctions, vocal disorders, TMJD, chronic oral ventilation, preventative oral health strategies, and scar management for both pediatric and adult populations. She specializes in the use of Kinesio Tape, vibroacoustic (tuning fork), and other manual therapies as part of an integrative therapeutic approach for various stages of healing. She has been a Certified Kinesio Tape Instructor since 2014. She has been in private practice (Logopedia Speech Therapy Services) since 2013.

Dr Christopher Tran
MD, ENT
Dr. Tran is a board-certified otolaryngologist (ENT) at the forefront of patient-centered medicine. Renowned for his thorough evaluations, he works closely with a range of "Airway" specialists—such as dental providers, myofunctional therapists, and lactation consultants—to tackle both anatomic and functional issues. He has adeptly incorporated the management of tethered oral tissues and myofascial pain into his ENT practice, contributing significantly to the collaborative Airway approach.

Open-minded and committed to continuous learning and the advancement of medicine, Dr. Tran treats patients of all ages. His particular passions include addressing oral ties, sinonasal problems, myofascial pain, and utilizing laser medicine. Dr. Tran is dedicated to helping patients explore all their options and develop comprehensive plans to enhance breathing, sleep, and overall quality of life.
Landis Felts
RDH
Landis Felts is a registered dental hygienist of 31 years adding a practice of oral myology the past four. She has worked for The Stewart Center for Optimal Health for nine years where her focus is on the complete health of her patients orally, systemically, emotionally, and spiritually.

She graduated in 1991 from Baylor University with a B.S. in Biology then from Del Mar College with a A.A.S. in Dental Hygiene in 1993. After working for seven years Landis went home to be a mother and homeschooler for her two boys for 18 years then returned to The Stewart Center. She was recognized as a Certified Direct Diagnostics Clinician in 2023.
Landis turned to alternative options regarding health and wellness shortly after the birth of her oldest son. She considers this an invaluable choice in her life and she shares her knowledge with patients, family, and friends as often as she can; whole person healing is her passion.

She is an avid sports fan of all kinds, loves antiquing, and will have her knitting with her just about everywhere she goes! Her husband Robert of 33 years and her sons Larkin, 24, and Drayton, 21, are regular attendees for Texas Rangers baseball games.


Dr Christina R. Carter
DMD
Dr. Christina R. Carter is a graduate of Haverford College in Haverford, Pennsylvania. She earned her dental degree at UMDNJ-NJDS, now Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. She earned her Certificate in both Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics at New York University College of Dentistry. She completed a fellowship in Cleft, Craniofacial and Surgical Orthodontics at the Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery- New York University Langone Medical Center. She earned her Certificate as a Holistic Health Coach from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Carter is in private practice in Madison, New Jersey. She has been named multiple times as a “Top Doctor” by New Jersey Magazine and “Favorite Kid’s Doc” by New Jersey Family Magazine. She has served on the AAO Council of Orthodontic Health Care and multiple AAO committees. She is a Past-President on the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists (NESO) and served as their Delegate Chair to the House of Delegates. She often appears on Sirius Radio “Doctor Radio”, AAPD Podcasts, and has been published in Scholastic & Kiwi Magazines. In addition, she has appeared on Inside Edition, WPIX News and Today.com. She lectures nationally and internationally on both pediatric dentistry, orthodontics and treating patients with special needs. She is an Assistant Professor at New York University College of Dentistry in the Departments of Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics. She sits on the Board for the NYU Oral Health Center for People with Disabilities. She volunteers with Special Olympics and with her Certified Therapy Dog, Callie, through Creature Comfort Pet Therapy in New Jersey.
Misty Bridges
RDH, BS, COM
Misty brings over 30 years of experience in the dental field, holding degrees in both dental hygiene and oral health promotion, with an additional focus on functional nutrition. She has been practicing Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy for 15 years and is certified through the IAOM. Throughout her career, she has successfully worked with hundreds of clients, developing tailored programs for children and adults with oral habit disorders, including complex and multiple habits cases.
Misty's approach often involves collaboration with allied health professionals to ensure comprehensive care and optimal outcomes. In this course, she will provide you with advanced solutions for managing complex cases, going beyond basic habit elimination programs.
